GARDEN & PLANTING DESIGN
Whether you have an existing garden that you would like to revitalise, or are starting from scratch, we can work with you to create a truly beautiful and individual space to complement your home and enhance your life.

Design packages start from £500, depending on the size of garden and complexity of design.
Information on what to expect from the design process is below.
STEP 1: CLIENT BRIEF
Kate will come to your garden to get to know you and the space. She will discuss in detail what you would like to achieve in your garden, as well as any plants and design styles that you love. We will then send you a quote.

This is a good time to start thinking about garden aftercare - who will look after your beautiful garden once it has been planted?
We can help by recommending local, horticulturally trained gardeners. Or if you would like to get into gardening yourself, we can create a maintenance handbook specific to your garden. Kate also provides gardening training.
STEP 2: SITE ANALYSIS
For a garden to thrive, it is vitally important to have healthy soil, and for the plants, trees and shrubs to be in the optimum location. We will conduct a detailed soil and site analysis before design work begins. This will cover elements such as soil type and texture, aspect and existing planting.
This is important so that we know whether any soil improvement work is required prior to planting. This will make for happy, healthy plants, and as a result, a beautiful, resilient garden!
STEP 3: DESIGN PROPOSAL
You will receive a Design Proposal unique to you and your garden. Concept illustrations will convey the character and atmosphere of the garden we are working towards, usually in the form of illustrations, plans and mood boards. This will encompass garden layout, planting styles and hard landscaping materials.

This is a collaborative and flexible stage where adjustments can be made before agreeing on the final design and plant list.
STEP 4: MASTER PLAN
Once the Design Proposal has been agreed, we will prepare the Master Plan
The Master Plan will be used by you to gather quotes from contractors for the garden build. We can help you find local, quality contractors if you need help.

STEP 5: PLANTING DESIGN
Kate specialises in Planting Design and horticulture, which means that the planting style will not only be beautiful, but resilient and considered.

A Planting Plan will detail the specification and location of each plant, tree and shrub within the garden. A detailed schedule, per plant, will be used to source high quality plants from trusted and renowned UK nurseries.
STEP 6: THE BUILD
Once the contractor has been appointed, Kate can work with them during the garden build.

The final stage is the most fun stage - the planting! Kate and her team will supply and plant the plants, trees and shrubs once the garden has been built.
You can then sit back and enjoy watching your beautiful new garden develop.
